JOIN US FOR LUNCH IN OUR LOCAL CAFÉ WITH BINGO EVERY DAY
Saratoga Tower
1700 Newton Pl
Morris, IL 60450
Upcoming Events:
Nutrition director and site manager Patty Strahan makes every day special with sweet treats, coffee, and conversation. We come together for cake for Everybody’s Birthday Celebration each month and share holiday cheer with special parties and treats for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more throughout the year. Activities and Games:
We play Bingo after every lunch time, at our Morris site and our satellite locations in Mazon, Minooka, and Coal City. Come join in the thrill as the M.C. calls out numbers and winning prizes, such as small home goods and cute personal items. We also host seasonal activities and games, such as decorating for Christmas, Senior Olympics, and more.
Social Opportunities:
Between twenty to forty people come each day for lunch at Morris and our satellite locations in Coal City, Mazon, and Minooka – you may see a neighbor or friend, or make a new friend! It’s a warm and welcoming time, with good food, a friendly buzz of conversation, and topical guest presentations on special occasions. Brighten your days with a little social fun at our lunches. Menu Items:
At our Saratoga Towers cafeteria, our kitchens produce delicious classic American meals made hot and fresh from scratch daily for you. Patty, aides Lisa and Francesca, and volunteers serve up nutritionally balanced but quite delicious feasts, such as ham with honey mustard glaze, roast turkey, chicken and dumplings, and more mouth-watering spreads. We also enjoy a special catered meal on Wednesdays, such as pork roast, chicken Parmesan with linguini, and pork chop suey with rice and Oriental vegetables. At our satellite locations in Mazon, Minooka, and Coal City, classic favorites from Upper Crust Catering include traditional specialities such as pot roast cooked with carrots and potatoes. There’s always plenty of coffee and a special treat for dessert to go with every meal to satisfy your sweet tooth.

More About Our Program
Our Commitment
Nutritional health is an important factor for remaining independent as we age. Meals on Wheels provides in-home delivery of hot meals five days a week. With support for good nutrition and healthy living, many older adults in our area are able to live safely and independently in their own homes.
How much do the meals cost?
There is no cost to participants. We do ask all participants for a voluntary contribution. No one is ever denied service if they are unable or unwilling to contribute.
