On Thursday, September 1st, more than 40 seniors joined us for the grand opening of our Bellwood Café! Older adults were able to enjoy a healthy lunch with the Bellwood mayor but also an afternoon of fun including health checks, chair aerobics, pet therapy with the Sheriff’s Department’s Paws of Redemption dogs, a magician, bingo and more! =
It was a great day getting to know our community and engage with the older adults in the area. Our new Bellwood Cafe will be serving meals Monday – Friday, so check our website for more information on this location and other community cafes.
